Deivide Correa is an author, musician, martial artist, and cultural ambassador based in Sydney, Australia. With nearly two decades of experience teaching capoeira, he has made lasting contributions to his community through martial arts and youth mentorship. He has recorded three capoeira albums and received an honorary doctorate for his cultural contributions.
A Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt and medalist, Deivide’s dedication to martial arts complements his mission to inspire resilience. His book, Calm Chaos, explores themes like physical fitness, faith, and overcoming adversity. As a survivor of serious physical and mental health challenges, Deivide draws from personal struggles, including the ongoing fight to reunite with his abducted daughter Sofia in Japan, to advocate for strength and hope.
In addition to his martial arts and literary achievements, Deivide has worked in occupational therapy support, rehabilitating thousands of individuals physically and mentally. Founder of Tribo Capoeira and dvdcore, he balances his work part-time at an architect firm while developing a podcast to empower others. When not writing or training, Deivide cherishes time with his fiancée Bridie and his daughter Ayla.
